Cowan Consultancy provided superstructure, foundation and drainage design on this block of high end apartments.

The structure was a ‘room in roof’ top storey over 3 storeys of masonry, with a proportion of the ground floor being steel frame to support the structure over under croft parking.

Glulam beams were incorporated into the roof design for aesthetics and to minimise the quantity of steel required.

The building was over soils of high bearing capacity which meant traditional strip & pad foundations were best suited.

Soakaways were designed to deal with the surface water drainage.
